Week 4 Recap
The G-League · 2025
Ladies and gentlemen, one hundred and sixty-six point five eight. Let that number breathe for a moment. That is not a fantasy football score — that is a hostile takeover. Gadsden my Johnston, the team we spent the first three weeks of this broadcast diagnosing like a patient who kept missing their own appointments, walked into Week 4 and posted the highest single-week total this league has seen all season. Taylor made absorbed all sixty-five-plus points of it, which is the kind of margin that makes you wonder if you're in the same league or just visiting one. The most politely devastating name in the building finally earned its punctuation, and the standings board now reflects a team that is very much still alive at 1-3. The body was buried. It got up.
But while Gadsden my Johnston was busy rewriting their own obituary, All of the Sutton was quietly surviving theirs. Four-point-one-four. That is all that separated All of the Sutton from World's Most Overrated in the week's most nerve-shredding finish — 123.36 to 119.22 — a game that was almost certainly decided by a late flex call, a forgotten kicker, or some Tuesday waiver wire decision that looked meaningless at the time. All of the Sutton steals the win and rides a two-game streak into fifth place territory, while World's Most Overrated — sitting on the most points of anyone outside the top three — has now lost two straight and is accumulating the league's most beautifully ironic résumé. Four hundred and seventy points. Two and two. The name, we must acknowledge, continues to do real work.
Elsewhere, the week's results carried the clean efficiency of a well-managed portfolio. kuppmylifetopieces dispatched ImAStroudPenix by twenty-two and stays alone at the top at four-and-oh, because of course they do. Quietly. Efficiently. Infuriatingly. We noted the schedule luck two weeks ago, and we said it gently — consider this week's reminder delivered at slightly higher volume. Allen my ass handled The Burrenaissance by thirteen and extends a two-game win streak, sitting second in points for the season with 432 — the kind of number that means they have been winning the games that matter and not wasting points on the ones they didn't. The Burrenaissance, meanwhile, has lost two straight after that Week 2 cannon shot, and the rebirth narrative that looked so promising is now accumulating more chapters than anyone wanted.
Sun God Welcome Committee got back in the win column against MARK SHANKCHEZ by eight, which is the most competent thing the sun deity has done since setting this league on fire in Week 2. And Goat Mode put together a second straight win over Multiple Scoregasms — the goat-like activities we requested in this very broadcast are now, officially, becoming a trend. Multiple Scoregasms drops to 1-3, and if points scored paid the bills, they would be very comfortable.
Four weeks in. One team undefeated. One team just discovered what their lineup can actually do when it shows up wearing the right shoes.
Next week, Gadsden my Johnston finds out if that 166 was a coming-out party or a farewell tour — and kuppmylifetopieces finds out what happens when the schedule stops being polite.
